IDEX Biometrics appoints Stephen Skaggs to its Board of Directors
IDEX Biometrics has appointed semiconductor industry veteran Stephen Skaggs to its Board of Directors.
Skaggs has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, most recently as Senior VP and CFO at Atmel Corporation prior to its acquisition by Microchip Technology Incorporated. He has also served as President, CEO and CFO of Lattice Semiconductor and, early in his career, he worked for Bain & Company where he specialized in high tech product strategy, mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
Skaggs holds an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

In related news, the company name change from IDEX ASA to IDEX Biometrics ASA voted on at the last AGM has now been officially registered in the Norwegian Register of Business Enterprises.
IDEX Biometrics recently partnered with Chinese smart card manufacturer Sian Intelligent Technology as it continues to grow its commercial presence in Asia to meet increasing demand for its biometric payment solutions.
The company will be attending 2019 Money20/20 Europe in Amsterdam next month and will be available to demonstrate its biometric fingerprint technologies being used within a dual-interface smart card for payments.
