Donseed online construction site induction app complements biometric workforce management

Donseed has launched a new remote online induction software solution, which complements the company’s Biometric Workforce Management Solution and enables contractors, individuals, and supply chain workers to be introduced to worksites through desktop computers, tablets, or smartphones.

The new online induction application integrates with the biometric workforce management software, which is used across the construction industry to centralize project data like attendance and training records and PPE (personal protective equipment) conformance in the cloud.

“The idea was to create a cloud-based application that ensures all workers receive consistent and relevant inductions before they attend site,” Causeway’s Attend Solutions EVP Ollie McGovern says. “Online inductions significantly reduce the amount of time taken to induct new site workers, minimises exposure to health and safety risks, and improves productivity.”

Causeway Techologies acquired Donseed earlier this year to bring the latter’s biometric time and attendance and access control technologies to its portfolio of cloud services for the construction industry.

Businesses can create customized forms by project, and upload company or site-specific videos, provide downloadable documents with information such as muster site locations, request the upload of training records, and ask tailored questions to suit project requirements. Inductions are approved based on a bespoke scoring system, and then individuals receive a confirmation email to notify them of the date and time when they are expected to arrive.
