IDEX Biometrics appoints payment ecosystem veteran to target EMEA sales

 

IDEX Biometrics announced that Pascal Dufour has been appointed as Director of Sales EMEA, effective July 9, 2019. Dufour, who speaks French and English, will be based in France but will travel extensively across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Dufour reports more than 25 years of experience in the global payment’s ecosystem including with biometric payments, cards, and digital services. He has developed business and technical expertise working both directly for, and as a consultant to, companies including Mastercard, Europay, ATOS, Credit Mutuel and Galitt Consulting.

“I am delighted to welcome Pascal to the team,” says David Orme, IDEX Biometrics SVP for Sales and Marketing. “He has a very strong track record and a great network in the payment ecosystem. I’m confident that Pascal will hit the ground running.”

In May IDEX named a new Chief Financial Officer and appointed semiconductor industry veteran Stephen Skaggs to its Board of Directors.

Earlier this month the Australian Patent and Trademark Office granted IDEX Biometrics a foundational patent for unconnected on-card enrollment of biometric smart cards.
