Next Biometrics fingerprint tech selected for TROIKA’s POS terminals for Aadhaar applications

 

Next Biometrics‘ STQC and UIDAI-certified fingerprint sensor technology will be deployed in TROIKA Transsolutions point of sale terminals for Aadhaar Enabled Payment System applications. TROIKA is a full-service digital transaction provider.

Wiseasy and Basewin are also integrating Next Biometrics technology into POS terminals for the Indian market.

Next Biometrics began expanding its operations in India last year to support the company’s increased activity in the country. Next’s team in India is led by Crossmatch, Safran Morpho and Gemalto veteran Ameya Bhagwat, and also includes Sanjith Sundaram, who spent five years with the Unique Identification Authority of India.

Ritu Favre resigned as Next Biometrics’ CEO from the company effective July 28, 2019. COO Dan Cronin is serving as interim CEO until a new CEO is named.
