Nice recognized for voice biometrics and fraud prevention and adds buguroo behavioral to Actimize

Nice has been recognized as a leader in authentication, voice biometrics, and fraud prevention by Opus Research, and also added behavioral biometrics and malware detection from anti-fraud and online security specialist buguroo to Nice Actimize’s X-Sight Marketplace, according to a pair of announcements.

The “2019 Intelligent Authentication and Voice Biometrics Intelliview” report says Nice Real-Time Authentication (RTA) stands out among 13 vendors for the breadth of its offering and its strong market positioning. The offerings position in the market is supported by robust capabilities, successful implementation, numerous partnerships, and adoption by many corporate customers, Nice says. Opus calls Nice RTA a proactive fraud prevention approach with watchlist and machine learning-based real-time fraud detection.

”NICE’s leadership position in the Intelliview report reflects their success in building an impressive roster of corporate customers along with a correspondingly large database of registered voiceprints,” explains Dan Miller, lead analyst at Opus Research and the report’s author. “NICE also distinguishes itself with an integrated Real Time Authentication suite that combines voice biometrics with analytics and fraud detection solutions which responds to the recognized need for passive enrollment and authentication, combined with proactive fraudster detection in a single product.”

Technology providers like buguroo are reviewed for their effectiveness in complementing financial crime and compliance solutions before joining the X-Sight Marketplace. Nice Actimize is the company’s autonomous financial crime management business, and operates the X-Sight Marketplace to offer functionality from various technology providers through X-Sight’s Platform-as-a-Service.

Some of the world’s leading financial institutions protect customers from impersonation and manipulation attacks with buguroo’s technology, according to the announcement.

“buguroo appreciates this partnership with NICE Actimize as we bring innovation and business value to financial services organizations through our unique approach to provide protection against cyber-attacks involving identity theft or customer manipulation present in any online fraud scheme,” said buguroo CEO and Founder Pablo de la Riva. “There is strong alignment between the industry-leading financial crime solutions and platforms that NICE Actimize offers its community and buguroo. We look forward to building our presence on this innovative community platform.”

The X-Sight Marketplace will also offer partner technologies for ID verification, device identification, user authentication, and other checks, and recently added biometric live streaming technology from Facebanx.
