An ATM solution based on iris biometrics from Iris ID have been recognized, as Verint’s compliance technology has been awarded, and Goodix has been nominated for a pair of awards for its business management.

QNB Iris ID banking solution

Qatar National Bank (QNB) has been recognized for the ‘Best Biometrics Initiative, Application or Program in Qatar’ by Asian Banker magazine for its iris recognition ATMs, Gulf Times reports.

The ATMs feature an integration of Iris ID’s Iris Access solution, which QNB launched in late-2016. The technology enables bank customers to access their accounts without use of a bank card or PIN at some branches.

QNB Group, its subsidiaries and associated companies have a presence in 31 countries.

Verint compliance product

Verint has won “Best Buy-Side Compliance Product” for its Financial Compliance platform from the 2019 Buy-Side Technology Awards, hosted by WatersTechnology magazine.

The awards are not in their 13th year, and honor leading technologies and firms helping buy-side investment companies, according to the announcement.

“Our awards recognize innovation and the ability of technology solutions to address the buy side’s most pressing business, regulatory and operational needs,” said Anthony Malakian, editor-in-chief of WatersTechnology. “Our panel of judges were impressed by Verint Financial Compliance’s capabilities in addressing client needs when it comes to voice and eComms capture and aggregation, data governance, voice transcription, and analytics, which are areas that financial institutions and regulators are increasingly concerned about.”

Verint Financial Compliance is used in more than 800 deployments, the company says, helping financial institutions manage risk and regulatory complexity end-to-end with records retention, data management, voice transcription, biometrics, proactive policy governance, and other capabilities.

“We are proud to be included among this year’s winners for the WatersTechnology awards,” said Verint’s Nancy Treaster, senior vice president and general manager of strategic operations. “Over the past year, we have strengthened our position as a leading vendor in the communication compliance and compliance automation space, and this award is thoughtful recognition of our hard work. Our offering is unique in integrating preventive, real-time and reactive capabilities into a single financial compliance solution.”

Verint also picked up a handful of recognitions last month.

Goodix nominated by GSA

The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) has announced Goodix is among the 2019 GSA Award nominees in the Best Financially Managed Semiconductor Company and Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company categories.

GSA says that Goodix has “demonstrated excellence through its vision, strategy, global application and future opportunity,” according to the announcement.

The awards will be handed out at GSA’s Dinner Celebration on December 5 in Santa Clara, California.
