eSignature verification tools launched to prevent fraud, improve user experience

South American payment and transaction monitoring solution developer Precodata has partnered with Colorado-based document capture and recognition solutions developer Parascript to include SignatureXpert, its signature verification and checking solution, to its product portfolio to boost automation and prevent fraud, the company announced.

Precodata’s product portfolio includes other solutions such as secure printing, document e-Signing, automatic signature verification, fingerprint scanners, iris and facial recognition.

“Our partnership with Parascript ensures our customers have access to the latest in automatic signature verification and check automation,” said Hugo Altamirano, executive director of Precodata.

Precodata has a wide customer portfolio, including financial, insurance, and healthcare companies. For its customers, the company also delivers solutions for check clearing, account opening, account holders administration and money laundering prevention. SignatureExpert will detect signature fraud in check processing, loan origination, and customer onboarding, while the image preprocessing features provides a clean image, the company says. CheckPlus International helps with automation and provides access to streamlined and reliable data.

“This is a great opportunity for us to partner with one of the top solution providers in South America,” said Bill Johnson, Vice President of Global Sales. “This partnership offers a powerful combination of the most advanced signature authentication and check automation technologies with Precodata’s leading business solutions.”

“Our Printing Department is equipped with advanced machinery where we design and print the whole bills of exchange and checks in our country, also plastic cards (magstripe and chip cards) and other negotiable documents and instruments,” Altamirano explained. “With Parascript, we’ve taken signature verification and check processing to the next level in terms of accuracy and reliability.”

ZorroSign, an Indian blockchain e-signature solution developer, has launched an improved mobile app for real electronic signature, document fraud and tampering detection that leverages mobile biometrics for a better, more secure user experience, the company announced.

The app is already available for download and can be used to review and sign documents, create signatures, update user profile, manage contacts, receive instant notifications and verify document authenticity.

According to Bharath Manoharan, Territory In-Charge at ZorroSign, the company upgraded the app to make “a major leap into the future of ‘mobile life’ in terms of user experience, privacy, security, and speed of execution,” after being inspired by the ‘Mobile First’ movement.

“Ultimately, ZorroSign exists to better facilitate business processes more securely, while using the latest technologies,” explained Shamsh Hadi, Co-founder and CEO of ZorroSign. “Having a well-rounded eSignature and Digital Transaction Management solution available through a fully functioning native app ensures seamless transitions from desktop to mobile and ensures the highest security, where there are no loopholes that unscrupulous people can exploit.”

In July, ZorroSign launched version 2.0 of the mobile app with improved handwritten signature capture.
