Idemia named 2019 Global Company of the Year by Frost & Sullivan for biometrics excellence
 

Idemia has won the 2019 Global Company of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan for its biometric technology and its defence against spoof attacks and cybersecurity threats, according to a joint announcement.

The company’s portfolio of solutions and services leveraging multi-modal technology to help clients and partners deliver biometric authentication and identification services for smoother end-user experiences, according to the announcement. Idemia’s Augmented Identity concept is designed to ensure privacy, trust, and secure, verifiable transactions with biometrics such as fingerprint, iris, and facial recognition.

“IDEMIA supports its channel partners through the entire sales and product lifecycle. It provides on-site engineering support for larger projects and extensive training on its devices. Overall, its industry-leading technology, unrivaled customer support, and next-generation innovations earn IDEMIA an eminent position in the global biometrics market,” observes Ram Ravi, Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan.

In particular, Ravi notes the addition of the MorphoWave line of readers, including the MorphoWave Compact, which he says can scan and verify the identity of 45 people in a minute with industry-leading acceptance and rejection rates. The F.CODE fingerprint smartcard offering is also singled out as a key innovation. The product was launched in 2017, but made great strides towards commercialization this year. The statement notes Idemia’s OneLook iris and facial biometric system and Augmented Vision solution for law enforcement, government, and commercial surveillance needs as standout offerings.

The company recently announced a major contract win to supply biometric ID cards to the government of Morocco.

The Frost & Sullivan Company of the Year Award is presented each year to an organization the demonstrates excellence in growth strategy and implementation in its field, as part of the firm’s Best Practices awards.
