Keesing Technologies adds Caribbean region partner for biometric selfie and ID check technology

Keesing Technologies adds Caribbean region partner for biometric selfie and ID check technology

Caribbean Identity Compliance & Consultancy (CCIC) and Keesing Technologies have partnered to provide best-in-class identity verification and other anti money-laundering (AML) and combatting terrorist financing (CFT) technologies to boost the identity fraud prevention capabilities of businesses in the Caribbean region, according to a joint announcement.

The partnership gives CCIC clients access to Keesing AuthentiScan biometric authentication and ID verification for know your customer (KYC) checks as part of CCIC’s AML and CFT solutions. Keesing says its technology performs automatic ID document checks in real-time, and compares a selfie and liveness detection with the photo ID image. ID documents can also be verified against Keesing’s reference database including information on more than 6,000 documents from over 200 countries.

CCIC is an Aruba and Curaçao-based firm specializing in identity and risk management, and legal and regulatory processes around AML and CFT compliance.

“Our clients have to comply with AML/CFT legislation and deal with access control and risk management on a daily basis,” states CCIC Managing Partner Jarno Sloots. “Reliable and thorough ID verification is paramount in these processes. But they also need to streamline these processes in order to boost customer satisfaction and experience. To be able to offer our customers solutions of the highest quality meeting their demands, a partnership with one of the world’s most trusted and established providers of digital ID verification solutions is consequently a logical step for us.”

The partnership is part of Keesing’s strategy to expand its global presence, according to the announcement, with strategic partnerships enabling the company to better serve local organizations and quickly grow its regional reach.

“We aim to help organisations prevent identity fraud on a global scale. The partnership with a professional —and in the region established—company such as CICC enables us to specifically reach Caribbean-based companies and expand our global market presence. I am convinced that the combined strengths and expertise of both parties will provide the Caribbean islands with an excellent, reliable KYC solution,” says Willem Langendonk, Sales Manager at Keesing Technologies.

AuthentiScan was also recently integrated by IoTech Lab, expanding Keesing’s presence in the APAC region.
