AU10TIX names digital identity thought leader David G.W Birch to Board of Advisors
AU10TIX has assigned globally acclaimed thought leader in digital identity and digital money David G.W Birch to its Board of Advisors to help expand its biometric and ID verification product portfolio, the company announced.
An author, advisor and commentator, Birch is the Global Ambassador for Consult Hyperion, a Technology Fellow at the Center for the Study of Financial Innovation, a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey Business School and is part of many advisory boards worldwide. Prior to his founding Consult Hyperion, he offered consultancy service in Europe, the Far East and North America.
For the past 10 years, Birch has been actively involved in bringing together identity and payments and wrote the book ‘Identity is the New Money,’ which discusses the link connection between national ID schemes, financial inclusion and payments.
“I was flattered to be asked and delighted to be able to accept the invitation to join the AU10TIX Advisory board at this exciting phase of the company’s journey,” said Birch in a prepared statement. “AU10TIX has established itself as a global leader and is distinguishing itself through its advanced machine learning technology, its continuing talent acquisition and its unmatched customer base. I am excited to be working with Ron, Carey and the rest of the management team.”
“David has a proven track record of success in helping leading companies to grow and develop their products and services,” said Carey Kolaja, AU10TIX president and COO. “With our strategic investors TPG and OAK, our sustainable economics, and our growing advisory board, we are positioned to take our first step beyond ID verification KYC / AML into new and growing markets.”
In December 2019, AU10TIX received $20 million in funding to sustain biometric and ID verification market growth.
Earlier this month, the company partnered with online gambling solution developer Aspire Global to provide it with biometric ID verification for regulatory compliance.
