New Unisys biometric access control release enhances security and flexibility features
 

Unisys has announced the release of the latest version of its biometric access control software, Unisys Stealth 6.0, with a number of innovations that make the solution more secure and easy to deploy.

Stealth also has the capability to enable organizations achieve zero trust security and help them in decision-making. The solution suite consists of Stealth(identity), which uses biometrics to establish and manage trusted identities, along with Stealth(core) and Stealth(services).

Unisys said in a news release that the latest version comes with enhanced visualization and dashboard tools to simplify an organization’s IT reporting and deployment – strengthening security and making it possible for businesses to reduce the complexity of their IT environment with the appropriate security policies.

It added that Stealth has artificial intelligence (AI)-driven automation to dramatically accelerate installation, configuration and deployment in the enterprise within just minutes.

Unisys further explained that its new product makes use of micro-segmentation, encryption and dynamic isolation to contain threats and protect public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud and on-premises environments. Stealth is available for enterprise use to provide additional protection across the world’s largest cloud computing platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services Cloud and Google Cloud. Operating systems such as macOS, iOS, iPadOS and Android, can also utilize Stealth’s capabilities.

Vishal Gupta, chief technology officer and senior vice president of Products and Platforms at Unisys said the new product will enable clients to fully secure their global infrastructure using just one point of reference. “With more enterprises managing a remote workforce and increasing reliance on the cloud since the pandemic started, the need to consolidate and simplify security is more important than ever. Stealth combines identity-based access management with an easy-to-use interface and touchless provisioning that allows businesses to meet privacy and compliance standards while reducing cost and complexity,” said Gupta.

According to Unisys, Stealth 6.0 is different from the past versions in that it has expanded capabilities for automated and robust enterprise security, an updates state-of-the-art visual interface, and a simplified comprehensive and real-time security dashboard.

The system is now available globally, the company announced.
