Telpo has announced the launch of a multimodal biometrics enrollment and identification device dubbed Telpo S10.

According to the announcement, the Telpo 10-inch FAP60 ten-finger (4-4-2) biometric enrollment desktop terminal, which has a portable biometric security case, was built for various biometric enrollment and identification purposes including SIM card registration, population censuses, eKYC, relief schemes and border controls.

The user-friendly device’s specifications include a Qualcomm processor, Android 10 version and 2GB-plus 32GB eMMC (4GB and 64GB optional) memory to maximized performance and flexibility of data acquisition and matching; and it has CE, GMS, NIMC, and NCC-supported certification, the company said.

Real-time and accurate recording of personal data is possible with the device thanks to its multi-touch capacity touchscreen display option, user-friendly interface, wireless capabilities and biometric liveness detection features, according to the Telpo announcement. Its dual camera feature also allows for perfect photo captures, it added, and the device enables iris biometric enrollment and recognition.

With its FBI-certified fingerprint FAP60 scanner which has a lighting emitting sensor (LES) technology, it can capture ten fingerprints even under direct sunlight, and its FBI Appendix F and Mobile ID FAP60 certifications make it the perfect fit for all kinds of biometric identity management projects for reasons of accuracy, reliability and durability. LES fingerprint sensors are made by Integrated Biometrics.

Apart from fingerprint recognition, the S10 device also supports some contactless card readers and has face, iris and MRZ scanners.

One other important endowment of the device is its big battery capacity and solar recharge capabilities which make constant work flow possible. With its thermal printer, personnel can also obtain their authentication credentials in real time, Telpo says.
