Cross Match names Eric Vermillion Senior VP, Worldwide Sales

Cross Match Technologies has announced that Eric Vermillion has joined the company as senior vice president, worldwide sales.

“We are pleased to have Eric as part of the strategic team,” David Buckley, CEO of Cross Match said. “He brings a strong history of growing and developing sales organizations, and has an extensive knowledge of software and technology solutions – all of which are a solid fit with our strategic development initiatives. Eric’s focus on customer satisfaction and simplifying the sales process are integral to our relationship with the market.”

Vermillion comes to Cross Match from NICE Systems, where he spent eight years in various sales, sales operations and executive management positions, playing a key role in growing the copmany’s annual revenue from $250 million to almost $900 million during his tenure. Most recently, Vermillion led the sales organization in NICE’s North America Region Enterprise Group.

Vermillion, a graduate of Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, will be based out of Cross Match’s Arlington, VA offices.

Reported previously, Cross Match has recently launched the creation of “Cross Match Ventures,” a business unit dedicated to the development and commercialization of emergin technological innovations in the biometric and identity management markets.

Also reported previously, the company recently announced that a custom version of its L SCAN 500P palm scanner has been delivered to NEC for deployment by the Japanese national law enforcement agency.
