GenKey acquires Ghanaian software provider

 

GenKey has announced that it has acquired ClaimSync, a Ghanaian software provider.

According to the company, ClaimSync offers a platform for digitizing and processing medical records and claims.

“With this acquisition, we will be able to combine GenKey’s biometric ID management and unique biometric claim validation solution with ClaimSync’s electronic medical claim handling system,” Michiel van der Veen, CEO of GenKey said. “I am very excited to join forces with ClaimSync and to further strengthen our position in the African healthcare market.”

Recently, GenKey announced the release of a new version of its biometric SDK, including for its FastAFIS and BioHash technologies.

Reported previously, GenKey announced a couple of new appointments early this year. The company added Jack ‘t Mannetje sales director for west and north Africa, and Patrick Gilmore as director of sales.

The global healthcare biometrics market – valued at $1.2 billion in 2012 – is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25.9% from 2013-2019 to reach $5.9 billion in 2019, according to recently-published research.
