Cross Match announces sales appointments, internal promotion

Cross Match Technologies has announced the appointments of Steve Gedney, Doug Natal and Ed Hartman to its sales team, along with the promotion of Greg McConnell to VP, Global Alliances.

According to the company, Steve Gedney joins to lead European and APAC sales after a long career in technology sales, sales leadership, and general management.

Doug Natal comes to Cross Match having served in leadership positions at EMC, StorageTek, Alliance Consulting, EDS, VeriSign and Taleo/Oracle. He will lead the U.S. Federal sales team based in Arlington, Virginia, as well as to help support growing the Identity as a Service (IDaaS) capability of Cross Match’s Web-based approach for the collection and management of biometric enrollment data.

Ed Hartman will lead the Company’s North American law enforcement and commercial market sales team. According to Cross Match, he has a successful track record of sales leadership and driving results for organizations such as IBM and NICE Systems, and recently retired from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.

“We have assembled one of the finest sales leadership teams in the biometrics industry and I look forward to our partners and customers feeling the value of a stronger and larger organization in the field,” Eric Vermillion, Senior Vice President, Global Sales for Cross Match said.

The Company also announced that Greg McConnell, long time Cross Match international business development and sales executive and former Labcal Technologies partner, has been promoted to the new position of Vice President, Global Alliances.

“We remain committed to supporting the success and further development of our global partnerships, and Greg is the obvious choice to lead this effort,” added Vermillion.
