Cognitec boasts NIST face recognition vendor test results – Cognitec announced that its facial recognition algorithm fared well in a recent NIST face recognition vendor test, specifically in tests with youth and senior age groups, leading the next most accurate algorithm in 5-year accuracy by 30% and 16% respectively.

AGNITiO launches updated mobile voice biometrics platform – AGNITiO launched version 4.1 of its KIVOX Mobile Platform, which includes advanced anti-spoofing protection and ease of use enhancements. The new system is capable of recognizing the difference between a voice recording and a live voice, preventing replay attacks.

Banking Apps to Feature Voice Biometrics, Audio Virtual Assistants – Two major banks will soon introduce the use of audio virtual assistants combined with voice biometrics in their mobile apps, says Nuance Communications.

Fujitsu Launches European ATMs with Biometrics and NFC – Fujitsu has launched a series of ATM`s for the European market that support its PalmSecure biometric verification technology along with contactless and NFC transactions.

PayPal debuts Samsung fingerprint integration – This particular integration and partnership between PayPal and Samsung is an interesting development because it is in stark contrast to Apple’s strict handling of the fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5S.
