Mitek demonstrates facial recognition capabilities of mobile ID solution

Mitek demonstrated its newly added facial recognition capabilities on its instant ID document verification solution, Photo Verify, this week at a presentation held at Money20/20.

Photo Verify’s two-factor authentication process help businesses optimize the mobile channel for customer acquisition and payments while reducing risk.

“With Photo Verify and facial recognition, businesses can quickly and easily verify that a mobile user’s identity document is authentic and that they are the person pictured on that document,” said Michael Hagen, managing director and corporate ID strategist at Mitek.

In addition to its presentation, Mitek also has a booth on the exhibition hall floor.

Now available, Photo Verify assures organizations that the document presented in a mobile transaction is an authentic, unaltered, government issued document.

Photo Verify enables consumers to use the `Camera as a Keyboard` for a range of applications, including mobile check deposit, account opening, insurance quoting, payments, and ID document authentication.

Mitek’s mobile technology is currently licensed by more than 4,100 organizations and used by millions of consumers.

Previously reported, Mitek acquired cloud based identity document verification and facial recognition solutions provider IDchecker, which helped broaden Mitek’s global presence, expanded its document coverage to more than 3,500 document types and addrf international customers in payments, financial services and information services.
