FPC and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology in Huawei GX8 smartphone

Fingerprint Cards (FPC) and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology has been integrated into the latest Huawei GX8 smartphones.

The device uses Precise Biometrics’ product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile and the FPC1025 touch fingerprint sensor.

Also announced this week, Huawei’s new Android tablet, the MediaPad M2, features FPC’s touch fingerprint sensor FPC1155 and Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics commented, ”We are pleased that this leading vendor has chosen to use Precise BioMatch Mobile in its first tablet with fingerprint technology. Precise Biometrics fingerprint software is now integrated in products from over 25 vendors and has become the preferred choice to ensure a superior user experience and secure identity verification on mobile devices.”

Earlier this week Fingerprint Cards announced that, in cooperation with other industry leaders, it has developed solutions to enable the use of FPC’s touch fingerprint sensor technology for automotive applications.
