Zwipe hires new CFO; prepares for growth

Biometrics firm Zwipe has appointed Lisbeth Breum as chief financial officer.

Ms. Breum has more than ten years of experience from structured finance and private equity.

Since 2011, her role at leading Norwegian private equity firm Herkules Capital has included financial analysis as an associate and being responsible for relationship management activities comprising fundraising, IR strategy and later investor communication as manager of investor relations.

“I am excited to join Zwipe at this pivotal time in the company’s development,” says Ms. Breum. “Zwipe is at the center of the quickly evolving biometric industry, and I look forward to taking part in this talented team’s journey towards the next chapter.”

Ms. Breum holds an MSc Economics and Business Administration from Toulouse School of Economics in France. She also holds a Certified European Financial Analyst degree from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Since October 2015, Zwipe has hired 10 professionals within engineering, biometrics, manufacturing and intellectual property to support preparations for commercialization and growth.

“We are very pleased about the latest additions to our team as they represent key areas of expertise needed to scale the company,” said Kim Kristian Humborstad, CEO of Zwipe. “We are also excited to have Lisbeth on board as CFO as her experience in finance, investor relations and financial analysis is perfectly suited for our strategy, including our plans for aggressive growth and expansion. We welcome Lisbeth to the team.”

Zwipe and Fingerprint Cards (FPC) recently announced a strategic partnership that will see the companies take a leading role in developing the biometric smartcards market for the payments industry.
