Credence ID launches product, partnership at ID4Africa

Credence ID last week announced the launch of its CredenceTAB product at the ID4Africa Forum held in Kigali.

CredenceTAB is a full-featured 10-inch mobile biometric and credential reading tablet, that enables rapid registration, verification and authentication of user identities from any location. It combines enrolment-capable biometrics with a complete e-document reading suite for electronic ID verification.

CredenceTAB enables police, border control and other authorities to confirm identities on the move, supports highly reliable citizen and voter registration and authentication, and helps banks and other enterprises implement effective “Know Your Customer” (KYC) procedures, using fingerprints and national identity documents such as eIDs and ePassports.

Yash Shah, VP Products & Programs at Credence ID demonstrated the features and benfits of the new product for ID4Africa attendees.

Credence ID also announced its partnership with Invixium at the event, which is designed to dramatically improve access control and time and attendance solutions at the conference.

Under the partnership, Invixium’s IXM TOUCH embedded software has been ported to the CredenceOne handheld device, allowing quick device setting changes and enrollments via an intuitive interface. The new software/hardware integration allows for user record interoperability between the devices, whereby a user enrolled on the IXM TOUCH stationary device can be authenticated on a CredenceOne mobile device and vice versa.

Access control and time and attendance solutions can include both stationary interaction, such as a door or desktop device, and mobile interaction, such as a security officer or personnel manager, all using one common application. Organizations will also have an option to select advanced authentication methods, including fingerprint and up to three factors of authentication between access cards, fingerprints, and PINs, for added security as they transact on devices.

The partnership between Credence ID and Invixium provides partners within the sales channel with the benefit of expanding their solution offerings. This situation enhances access control or time and attendance deployments through both fixed and handheld devices, allowing devices from different manufacturers to be able to be installed on the same network, using a single software application, IXM WEB.

Invixium will be reselling CredenceOne devices with IXM embedded software under the Invixium Certified Products (ICP) program. The ICP program was launched in the second quarter of 2015 to test, integrate and support complementary products into the IXM product ecosystem.
