eID projects in Africa and Latin America drive X Infotech’s expansion

Systems integrator and software developer X Infotech has expanded its presence in Latin America, North and West Africa by engaging new regional representatives.

X Infotech is a global provider of software solutions for the issuance, management and verification of identity documents and smart cards.

In a statement, the company welcomed Carla Guardia Malaga and Kais Ben Amor to its growing team. Malaga will be responsible for business development in Latin America, and Amor will take care of business development in French-speaking countries of North and West Africa. Carla and Kais have more than 15 years experience in the industry.

“The key driver behind X Infotech’s continuous expansion is the growing demand for electronic ID document projects in Africa and Latin America,” said Sergey Yeliseyev, Business Development Director of X Infotech, Government eID projects. “These markets are emerging amazingly fast. We’ve already got strong regional support in Nairobi, Kenya, and now we warmly welcome the new professionals on board, with intentions to find recognition on the new territories and show excellent global performance as a team.”

According to IHS Digital Security Intelligence Service, shipments of electronic ID documents in the Middle East and Africa are expected to reach 53.5 million copies by 2020.
