The FIDO Alliance has expanded to 250 FIDO Certified products, representing a growth of over 200 percent since September 2015.

Organizations with new FIDO Certified products include Aware, Inc.; Bank of America; Daon; Feitian Technologies Co., Ltd.; HangZhou Synochip Data Security Technology Co., Ltd.; Highmaru Inc.; ISITYOU Ltd.; KICA (Korea Information Certificate Authority); NBREDS; NHN ENTERTAINMENT; SSenStone; thinkAT; TRUXTUN CAPITAL; and WiActs Inc.

FIDO Certified products and solutions provide several options to address the different business cases and user experiences of enterprise and service providers, while sharing the commonality that they can all eliminate an organization’s reliance on single-factor username and password authentication.

The organization also announced it has expanded the FIDO Certified program to accommodate the growing demand from organizations wanting to become FIDO Certified, including the recent launch of On Demand Testing as an alternative to attending interoperability events.

In the coming months, the FIDO Alliance will be making more expansion announcements about the FIDO Certified program, as well as launching a new FIDO Certified showcase.

Previously reported, the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) Alliance recently certified Safran Identity & Security’s solution enabling biometric authentication through electronic ID (eID) cards.
