Precise Biometrics, FPC fingerprint tech featured in Redmi Note 4X

Xiaomi has launched its Redmi Note 4X mobile device featuring Fingerprint Cards (FPC) FPC1035 sensor and Precise Biometrics‘ Precise BioMatch Mobile.

The FPC1035 sensor supports FPC OneTouch, letting you unlock the device with a simple touch. Precise BioMatch Mobile is an algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices. The patented hybrid algorithm solution is optimized for small fingerprint sensors and platforms with limited processing power and memory space.

Also announced, Meitu has launched its T8 mobile device featuring the FPC1235 sensor, which also supports FPC OneTouch.

Earlier this month, Precise revealed that it is integrating NexID Biometrics’ liveness detection solution into its fingerprint software which can detect a fake fingerprint with 94 to 98 percent accuracy. The announcement came a week after the company finalized its acquisition of NexID.
