FotoNation exhibiting, speaking at Embedded Vision Summit
FotoNation will demonstrate its hybrid computational imaging implementations for face/body detection and tracking and iris recognition at the upcoming Embedded Vision Summit, taking place next week at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California.
In addition, Dr. Petronel Bigioi, FotoNation GM, will be a featured speaker at the show, delivering a presentation titled “Ultra-Efficient VPU: Low-Power Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Computational Photography” on May 2. Dr. Bigioi will focus on how bringing intelligence to the edge enables local devices to see and hear. The presentation outlines how engineers can use deep neural network engines to achieve optimal power, performance, programmability and silicon area for face detection and tracking, person detection and tracking, generic object tracking and more.
In February, Safran Identity & Security and FotoNation partnered to provide an advanced iris authentication solution for mobile devices in the Indian market.
