FIDO Alliance to hold free seminars in Paris and Barcelona

Categories Biometrics News  |  Trade Notes

The FIDO Alliance is hosting two free seminars in Paris and Barcelona on May 5 and May 8, respectively, which will address key trends in strong authentication in Europe and beyond.

Seminar attendees will learn how the FIDO standards are making it easier to deliver a customer authentication solution that is unphishable and easy to use.

The seminars will feature hands-on advice from companies that have led real-world FIDO deployments, discussions on related initiatives and technologies, and technical details on FIDO’s method of providing simple, stronger authentication.

The Paris seminar will be held on May 5 from 8:45 am – 3:30 pm at Le Méridien Etoile, while the Barcelona event will take place on May 8 from 8:45 am – 3:30 pm at Meliá Barcelona Sarrià.

Although both events are open to everyone, including media, all attendees must register in order to gain entry.

FIDO’s open specifications can help all organizations looking to scale these features for consumer services over the web.

There are over 300 FIDO certified solutions available on the market, along with hundreds of millions of end-users’ web and mobile apps that have been FIDO-enabled for strong authentication protection by some of the largest service providers.

Previously reported, the FIDO Alliance made recommendations for a strong authentication requirement in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) draft updates to its Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity guidelines.
