Fingerprint Cards announces three new deployments this week

Fingerprint Cards (FPC) announced three new deployments of its fingerprint sensors this week.

OPPO’s new A77 mobile device features the FPC1245 sensor. OPPO A77 is a variant of OPPO F3 for the Taiwanese market, launched earlier this month.

Also revealed this week, an unnamed Taiwanese OEM has launched a new smartphone model featuring Fingerprint Cards FPC1145 sensor supporting FPC 360Touch, FPC OneTouch, FPC TouchNroll, FPC EvoTouch and FPC MoveTouch.

On Monday, FPC revealed that Sharp Mobile’s new Sharp Z3 smartphone for the Taiwanese market also features Fingerprint Cards’ FPC1145 sensor.

Earlier this month, FPC issued its financial results for Q1 2017, which fell well below expectations as an excess of inventories industry wide and increased competition impacted the company’s revenue.
