Donseed launches enhanced mobile biometric time and attendance solution for construction sites

 

Donseed has announced the launch of its new biometric workplace identity management solution, Donseed Workplace, to provide construction companies of all sizes with accurate workforce visibility across multiple sites and projects.

Donseed Workplace integrates a range of hardware options suited to the temporary and mobile nature of construction sites, according to the announcement, including a portable biometric tablet and a cost-effective mobile app with integrated access control. The Donseed Workplace Customer Portal provides access to all data captured on site from the cloud to any device connected to the internet. Data can easily be exported, the company says, and the software can be configured to generate automated email alerts and bespoke reports.

“I am very excited to announce the launch of Donseed Workplace. The new solution is designed to drastically improve efficiencies and remove the pressures from both site-based and office-based staff who are responsible for the process of collating timesheet information, authorising payroll, maintaining health and safety compliance and looking after operative’s training and qualifications,” said Donseed Chief Operating Officer Dave Ingram.

Ingram was appointed COO of Donseed just a month ago.

Benefits which the company says Donseed Workplace can deliver include a significant reduction in labor costs; tracking of overtime, expenses, travel and time tolerances for late arrivals to “build-up-to-gross;” real-time visibility of who is on site, when, and for how long; collection of project data about sub-contractors, agency staff, and labor supply chain; electronic check of the validity of certification smartcards; and records and management of PPE compliance.

Another UK-based provider of access solutions for the construction industry, Herongrange, recently integrated fingerprint sensors from ievo with its security system for site access and workforce management.
