Veridium has added support for Citrix Cloud and applications leveraging Azure Active Directory (AD) for its VeridiumID and Veridium Authenticator App, allowing enterprises to potentially replace passwords and tokens with software-only biometric authentication.

The connectors were developed by Veridium for enterprise applications that leverage Azure for Federated Identity, like Citrix Cloud and Office 365, to provide enhanced security, improved convenience and productivity, and a low total cost of ownership, according to the announcement. Users can authenticate with multiple biometrics for on-premise Citrix implementations or environments using Citrix Cloud and Azure.

“We want to give our customers the assurance of security and convenience at a low cost of ownership,” said John Spencer, chief product officer, Veridium. “We continue to extend Veridium’s capability in the enterprise, allowing individuals to use their biometrics to authenticate into any application or service from a single mobile application. From Windows, web or cloud services, Veridium provides customers with a single, cost-effective solution to eliminate passwords and tokens, and increase security across their organizations.”

Connectors integrating biometrics with “Citrix Ready” technologies including XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, and Citrix ShareFile were previously announced by Veridium.

Veridium’s Authenticator App was launched in April to provide an affordable enterprise 2FA solution.
