Ubisecure updates Identity Platform to extend support for federated ID workflows

Swedish customer identity and access management (CIAM) company Ubisecure has launched a new version of its Identity Platform, which includes a new Authentication Adapter to extend support for “bring your own identity” workflows.

Businesses can deploy Ubisecure technology in the cloud or on-premises to leverage existing verified and strong digital identities. Government registries and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes used by regulated businesses such as banks and telecoms act as trusted sources of identity verification. The new Authentication Adapter provides Ubisecure’s authentication engines in a modular form, allowing customers to add new external authentication methods to be added and used seamlessly, the company says.

Ubisecure Identity Platform provides online applications and services with high levels of confidence in user identities, enabling them to reduce fraud without investing in their own KYC infrastructure, according to the announcement. Customers get a simplified, secure, and private registration and login-method, and identity providers get new revenue from existing KYC investments through federated strong identities.

The market for IAM and IDaaS products, and particularly consumer IAM is growing quickly, with certain segments reaching 25 percent CAGR, according to analyst firm KuppingerCole.
