NEC to feature biometric tech for financial service providers at Singapore FinTech Festival

NEC and NEC Asia Pacific will participate in this month’s Singapore FinTech Festival 2018 as a gold sponsor and will highlight how its biometrics-based applications can improve the customer experience, boost security for transactions, and enable a smart and secure eKYC process. NEC will also feature its latest blockchain technology development and use case examples for financial sectors.

NEC’s key exhibits this year include NeoFace Watch, NEC BioTrust, FIDO Biometric Authentication and its Digital KYC solution.

NeoFace Watch extracts faces in real time from CCTV footage and instantaneously matches them against a pre-registered facial database. The application also includes VIP customer identification and enhanced video surveillance. NEC BioTrust uses machine learning and NEC’s liveness detection technology to enable digital ID login to eGovernment or online web services, such as online banking, using facial recognition technologies. NEC’s NC7000-3A-FS is a Fast IDentity Online (FIDO) UAF 1.0 certified platform for biometric authentication for mobile transactions. Digital KYC enables financial service providers to launch biometrics-based online verification services.

Experts from NEC will also participate in a panel discussion and an ‘Open Mic’ session to talk about recent developments in fintech-related technologies.

NEC recently featured biometric retail and banking concepts at Futurecom.
