Precise Biometrics algorithm solution integrated in Xiaomi smart door lock

Precise Biometrics announced today that Precise BioMatch Embedded, its algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in wearables, cars and IoT, has been integrated in the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Door Lock.

Xiaomi introduced the smart lock at its recent Xiaomi AIOT conference. According to Gizmochina, the Mijia Smart Door lock enables users to secure their houses with an intelligent locking system that supports 3D fingerprint recognition, Bluetooth, NFC, and other six unlocking methods.

Precise notes that the integration in the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Door Lock is not expected to have any substantial financial impact for the company.

Last month, in his first earnings statement in his new position, Precise Biometrics CEO Stefan K Persson said that the companty plans to continue its shift to serve a growing market for biometrics driven by the proliferation of a wide range of smart devices.
