Touch sensor from Fingerprint Cards deployed in Mobylabs contactless keyfob

Fingerprint Cards announced today that Mobylabs, a UK based developer of payment-related software and devices, has integrated an FPC touch sensor in the new AIRTAG Sense, a compact keyfob that allows its user to securely store any contactless product like a public transit card, payment or loyalty card and access it with a simple touch. A crowdfunding campaign is underway for AIRTAG at Indiegogo.

The use cases and form factors for biometrics continue to evolve, with new ways of providing increased and frictionless security. In its year-end report the Swedish biometrics company noted that it is “well positioned to capture a significant share of new, emerging global markets for biometric solutions.”

CEO Christian Fredrikson wrote “the interest in biometric solutions is extensive and increasing within several areas where secure and user-friendly authentication are important. I expect to see continued rapid growth in locks and access systems.”

Fingerprint Cards has also announced that its Annual General Meeting will be held at 3.00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The proposed agenda is available on the company website.
