IDEMIA adds business development veteran to Identity & Security NA division

IDEMIA announced the appointment of Sean Thompson as Head of Business Development and a member of the executive committee for its Identity & Security, North America business. Thompson will be responsible for all sales and business development, capture and proposal activities.

With more than 26 years as a business development executive, Thompson’s extensive Federal Government sector experience includes serving as Regional Vice President, Sales for Unisys where he led the Federal, Defense and Intelligence Sales group and the Capture and Proposals team. He also served as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Capture at Sotera Defense Solutions, a national security technology company for Federal Government agencies, and has held management positions in business development and operations at iGov, IBM and American Management Systems.

In a recent guest post to Biometric Update IDEMIA National Security Solutions (NSS) executives B. Scott Swann and James Loudermilk argue that the volume of data and investigative power of face recognition technology makes it a strategic imperative for national security and call on the U.S. government to step in to enable continued technology improvement while protecting privacy.
