Digital Barriers facial recognition tech integrated with Capita control room solutions

Digital Barriers‘ live video streaming, body-worn camera, video analytics and live facial recognition technology will be integrated into Capita Secure Solutions and Services‘ control room solutions for emergency services, critical responders and national infrastructure providers and digital evidence management platform.

According to the announcement, the collaboration will enable facial recognition results to be shown in control rooms alongside other information, and ultra-low bandwidth streaming will provide new ways to view emergencies from the control room, making operators jobs easier and ensuring the proper resources are deployed.

Under the terms of the agreement, Digital Barriers’ edge-intelligent solutions will be made available through Capita’s global network and Digital Barriers will promote Capita’s ControlWorks and VisionDS control room offerings through its own channels.

“We are very excited to be signing this agreement with Digital Barriers,” says Paul Eggleton, Capita Secure Solutions and Services MD. “The integration of this technology with our portfolio truly sets us apart in being able to offer the best facial recognition technology to our customers around the world.”

“This is the perfect time to partner with Capita as there is strong demand from law enforcement for technological advancements that promote officer safety and efficiency,” adds Zak Doffman, CEO of Digital Barriers. “We look forward to working in close collaboration to further accelerate our international growth.”

Facial recognition technology from Digital Barriers was used this year to screen guests at both the UK’s National Television Awards and The BRIT Awards.
