Egis continues to deploy Precise Biometrics fingerprint software

Fingerprint-Identification

Egis Technology continues to integrate Precise Biometrics‘ Precise BioMatch Mobile fingerprint software. The Swedish biometrics firm revealed today that its software for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices has been deployed by Egis in another series of smartphones.

This integration, plus the one announced in August, together are expected to generate approximately US$1.5M in revenue.

“We are pleased to receive this additional integration which is a recognition of the quality of our leading fingerprint software and that our strategic direction of increasing our presence in Asia is showing results,” says Precise Biometrics CEO Stefan K. Persson. “We continue to work hard to offer world leading biometric solutions and improve the quality of our products, whether it’s software for mobile devices and smart cards or solutions for verification of digital identity.”

Precise Biometrics recently integrated the facial recognition capabilities of its YOUNiQ digital identity offering with door access systems to provide secure biometric physical access control to offices and restricted facilities.
