IN Groupe Nexus acquisition and Ubisecure partnership expand digital ID services in Europe

IN Groupe has purchased Nexus to expand its digital identity services in Europe, in an agreement effective from the first quarter of 2020, the company announced.

Nexus develops an automated software solution that creates and manages the full lifecycle of both physical and digital identities for people and things. It is equipped with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI platform), Card Management System (CMS), mobile and desktop-based identity apps (middleware) and a digital access gateway.

Under the acquisition, IN Groupe will now deliver a far-reaching product portfolio to government and corporate customers not only in Europe, but around the world.

IN Groupe has been developing its solutions for 10 years, and the recent integration of Nexus will reinforce its capabilities to assist with the shift from physical to digital identity in the European regulatory environment, following the purchase of identity document authentication company Surys in December 2019.

Known for its certificate-based identity services enabling the future of autonomous cars, V2X, Nexus’ technology positions IN Groupe to increase its activity in IoT and object identification.

Ubisecure provides Zsah with digital identity software

In the meantime, interest in digital ID solutions appears to be growing in the U.K., where companies are looking into next-level digital identity products and services for their customers.

Ubisecure has entered a partnership with Zsah to deliver digital identity management software and services for Zsah’s customers, the company announced.

After delivering on-premise and cloud deployments for nearly 20 years, Ubisecure launched in 2019 its IDaaS solution, following a high adoption of cloud-deployed services and a demand for digital identity capabilities.

London-based Zsah provides its customers with secure network infrastructure services, enhanced by Ubisecure’s cloud-based identity products and its IDaaS solution for a streamlined user experience.

“Ubisecure provides industry-leading digital identity solutions transforming how organizations use and secure customer, partner and organizational digital identities,” said Zsah’s CEO, Amir Hashmi. “Ubisecure is representative of the leading-edge technology providers who form the Zsah partner community and I appreciate the confidence they have shown by selecting us as a trusted partner organization. We look forward to working with Ubisecure and to providing their next-level digital identity products and services to our customers.”

Jonathan Clark, VP Channel & Alliances at Ubisecure, added, “this partnership will enable Ubisecure’s software to be deployed as part of Zsah’s customers’ wider IT cloud strategy, opening up opportunities with their private and public sector clients. Zsah has an excellent reputation in the cloud space, and they understand the critical need for digital identity best-practice that Ubisecure provides, so I’m delighted to be working alongside them.”

Last month, Hitachi partnered with Ubisecure to integrate its Hand Gesture Technology with Ubisecure’s Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS) to deliver biometric authentication through finger vein recognition technology.
