New Trulioo image capture SDK to help ease ID document verification and workflow

An image capture SDK has been added to Trulioo GlobalGateway to help end users easily take images of documents in the right format for authentication by document verification technology, the company has announced.

The new SDK has a unique desktop-to-mobile workflow, Trulioo says, for a holistic approach to ID verification balancing user experience with security, and enabling businesses to meet new regulatory demands when expanding into new markets. It connects with Trulioo’s document verification partners through a single API, which can also be combined with the company’s identity data verification (IDV) technology.

Customer selfies and liveness detection are used for authentication, and the new capabilities collectively make integration and workflows incorporating multiple ID verification services easier.

“Digital businesses are facing new ID verification challenges brought by changing demographics of their customers, who favor convenience in addition to security, and external threats such as identity theft and fraud,” said Stephen Ufford, CEO of Trulioo. “To help them address these challenges, an end-to-end solution is needed that integrates seamlessly and ensures compliance with global regulations when onboarding and verifying new users. GlobalGateway provides effective global coverage with access to hundreds of secure data sources to give a holistic view of a customer’s identity.”

Ufford also says the launch of the SDK allows Trulioo customers to approach risk intelligence comprehensively.

Trulioo says its GlobalGateway marketplace functions as an identity hub and has become the first and only end-to-end document verification solution with access to hundreds of global ID verification services and other partners through a single SDK and API.

The company recently added payment security expert Lisa Stanton to its board of directors, and is planning significant international expansion following a $50 million funding round last year.
