LoginID’s FIDO2, UAF-certified biometric customer authentication chosen for several applications
FIDO2-certified provider of biometric authentication LoginID has announced multiple partnerships with companies who have integrated its FIDO-as-a-Service customer authentication platform for SMBs.
“Developers and enterprises are looking for very low-lift integrations of leading-edge products. Our FIDO2 and UAF certified strong customer authentication can be integrated in less than an hour, and will provide end-users a frictionless experience,” said in a prepared statement Simon Law, CEO of LoginID.
The system uses cryptographic security based on device hardware to prevent attacks and OS takeover. It requires no additional hardware or software to work, and uses fingerprint recognition to allow customer login.
LoginID’s FIDO2 and UAF certified Strong Customer Authentication platform will ensure frictionless and secure biometric logins for customers Data on Tap (dotmobile), Execuvault, NetCents, Global Asset Technology, POSconnect, and FroogalPay.
Data on Tap is developing a wireless mobile service named dotmobile to help users get rid of passwords that will now be enhanced with biometric authentication. The future focus will be on the tokenization and management of personal information.
“With the LoginID FIDO2 service we will be able to increase digital in-app and web interactions security and where required provide additional authentication and user level control,” said Data on Tap CEO Algis Akstinas in a prepared statement. “This will also alleviate any customer concerns around SIM swap attacks, which is becoming more of a prevalent issue for customers.”
FinTech startup Execuvault will use the technology to improve its blockchain-based transfer process.
“We see a lot of flexibility around how we can easily integrate FIDO2 biometrics into our existing customer experience with LoginID,” said Brian Kieller, CEO of ExecuVault, in the press release.
NetCents Technology has developed a crypto payment button to encourage merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments. Global Asset Technology has developed a crypto token for use towards traditional assets, and POS Connect has developed a payment processor to secure bill and payment collection.
“More and more of our services are global in nature. Since the FIDO standard is aligned with regulatory standards such as PSD2 and GDPR, our clients will have assurances that services they are providing meet the expectations of the market as it relates to security and privacy,” said in a prepared statement Marius Kimel, CEO of POS Connect.
FroogalPay is middleware that software developers can use to accept payments from within their application.
“Our clients not only need the highest standard around security, but we need to ensure that we provide ways to increase conversions,” said Jonathan Reinsdorf, CEO of FroogalPay, in a prepared statement. “With LoginID’s FIDO2 biometric button, there are various ways merchants can integrate into their customer journeys, making it simpler and safer for customers to pay while protecting merchants from fraud.”
LoginID recently partnered with Indonesian biometric verification solution provider Asli RI and released a biometric-based authentication platform for online transactions to prevent data breaches in the local market.
