seamless integration

New partnerships have been announced by Speech Technology Center and Vara, Safetrust and AlertEnterprise, CyberLink and Vivotek, and Imprivata and Advantech, extending biometric security and access control solutions to new market areas.

Speech Technology Center and Indian technology integrator Vara have partnered to deliver face and voice biometrics for efficient and scalable remote customer identification and contactless authentication.

The companies note an IMARC Group report forecasts that India’s biometrics market will grow by 15 percent CAGR from 2019 to 2024, reaching $3.8 billion.

Through the partnership Vara will offer Speech Technology Center’s biometric face and voice recognition to customers in India, with focusses on smart and safe city projects, voice biometrics as part of digital KYC processes, which are increasingly used in the country for onboarding in regulated industries, and contactless biometric access control.

Speech Technology Center’s turnkey smart and safe city solution has already been implemented in five large Russian cities, its VoiceKey solution has been implemented in a banking industry call center with 5,000 operators and at the national level, and the company’s multimodal biometrics for workforce management include remote temperature checking. STC’s Smart Tracker Access Control was also used during the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“Speech Technology Center’s voice and face biometric solutions have already proven effectiveness in commercial sector like banks, educational services and government national-level projects in various countries,” comments Speech Technology Center CEO Dmitriy Dyrmovskiy. “India is an important region for us, where the implementation of biometric solutions will significantly increase the development of digital services and the level of public safety in the current global epidemiological situation.”

Safetrust partners with AlertEnterprise for touchless access control

Safetrust and AlertEnterprise have formed a strategic partnership to deliver touchless physical access control technologies to address the recent spike in demand.

The integration enables organizations to establish centralized identity access governance, risk and compliance controls across the enterprise with secure digital credentials replacing or complimenting traditional badges, according to the announcement.

“By combining Safetrust’s dynamic issuance and revocation of credentials and privileges with AlertEnterprise’s AI infrastructure and depth of understanding of business policies and practices, organizations can drastically improve timeliness, compliance and accountability,” says Jason Hart, CEO of Safetrust. “Companies can merge access to physical resources, such as specific office spaces, multiple parking garages, and corporate gyms, effectively creating a consistent experience for employees and peace of mind for organizations.”

AlertEnterprise added biometric facial recognition to the software for its access control kiosk last year.

Vivotek to integrate CyberLink face biometrics

CyberLink is partnering with IP surveillance solution provider Vivotek to integrate its biometric FaceMe Security authentication solution into the Vivotek VAST 2 video management software (VMS).

Demand for smarter, ethical security deployments is increasing demand for face biometrics in IoT applications, the companies say.

The integrated VMS provides facial verification in edge-server hybrid environments for identification, real-time alerts, and employee time and attendance recording. The solution streamlines the management process and allows security operators to centrally configure and monitor IP cameras.

“CyberLink and VIVOTEK are providers of best-in-class software that, when combined, are capable of meeting the nuanced demands of facial authentication and integrated smart security solutions worldwide,” states Dr. Jau Huang, CEO of CyberLink. “We think there is an incredible opportunity for both us, and our customers around the world.”

Imprivata to validate and enhance authentication for Advantech medical tablets and PCs

Advantech and Imprivata have partnered to establish interoperability with healthcare enterprise single sign-on platform Imprivata OneSign, and validate Advantech’s medical-grade devices for stronger security protocols.

The multi-factor authentication platform provided by Imprivata OneSign replaces usernames and passwords with proximity badge or biometric fingerprint scans. The increased operational efficiency and enhanced insight into medical professional access and interactions with patient health information (PHI) on medical-grade computing devices can help meet industry compliance requirements, according to the announcement.
