AlertEnterprise adds facial biometrics to access control kiosk software

AlertEnterprise has added biometric facial recognition technology to its Visitor Management Kiosk software to deliver frictionless access security to organizations for check-in processes by employees, visitors, contractors, and guests.

Visitors who have authorized the AlertEnterprise Visitor Management Kiosk App to capture a facial image and have checked in using the system previously can be instantly recognized by the software, enabling them to bypass the standard registration process and complete the check-in by confirming visit details, providing a signature, and receiving a visitor badge. The software provides a complete physical identity and access management solution when combined with Enterprise Guardian software, according to the announcement.

A future update will integrate watch lists to detect individuals trying to enter a facility under an assumed name.

“We believe that frictionless secure access is an essential component to the vision of the Intelligent Enterprise,” said Yogesh Ailawadi, Senior Director, Product Management at AlertEnterprise. “As part of our complete physical identity and access management solution, Visitor Management with FRT further enhances corporate security through advanced technology and automated active policy enforcement.”

Alcatraz AI recently launched a full-stack platform with custom hardware for enterprise access control using facial recognition.
