Biometrics Institute hiring COO to promote responsible and ethical technology use
 

The Biometrics Institute is looking for a new Chief Operating Officer to oversee operations and strengthen the organization’s operational strategy and systems in support of responsible and ethical biometrics use.

Applicants should be prepared to commit a minimum of 30 hours a week, working from home, in the Greater London area.

The role’s responsibilities also include financial and budget management, risk management and mitigation, compliance, IT strategy and staffing. The position involves direct supervision of the Operations Adviser in Australia, the Research & Operations Adviser in London and IT systems administrators, legal and financial advisers.

Biometrics Institute is looking for a candidate with five years of professional experience in a similar role, solid commercial awareness and a background in finance, budgeting, cost management and accounting. As with all positions, the organization is seeking a trusted, impactful, collaborative and accountable individual to align with its core values.

The position is permanent, and the Biometrics Institute is offering a £57,000 to £67,000 (US$77,000 to $90,000) pro rata salary, dependent on experience.

Heidy Rehman currently serves the Biometrics Institute as its COO, having taken the job in 2019.
