Soul2Match claims to use biometrics to find love connections

Soul2Match claims that U.S. President Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama have a compatibility score of 84 percent.

Soul2Match is a tool that claims to be based on comprehensive scientific research in the areas of psychology and biometrics.

Instead of filling out long questionnaires, users take photos of themselves and post it to the site or through an iPhone app. The site then utilizes facial recognition software to analyze features and select the best potential dating partner matches.

“Based on extensive research, we believe that there is a strong correlation between facial similarities and shared personality traits and values, leading to better compatibility,” explains Linda van Liempt, Soul2Match Co-Founder.

A couple with a compatibility score of at least 70 percent is deemed to be a strong, long-term relationship match on the site.

According to IBISWorld, a market research firm, currently the U.S. mobile dating industry is worth an estimated US$212.6 million in revenue. In 2012, the industry is projected to grow by 29 percent.
