Las Vegas car dealer offers free kid fingerprinting

A Las Vegas car dealer is sponsoring a free child safety and fingerprint event this weekend.

Friendly Ford is bringing the DNA LifePrint program to its location on 660 N. Decatur Blvd. between 9:30 am to 2 pm.

Parents are invited to attend and bring their children.

Parents will receive a free biometric 10-digit fingerprint profile of their child, along with a high-resolution digital photo image and a home DNA identification kit, complete with a child safety journal.

The DNA LifePrint’s home DNA kit typically retails for US$6.95.

The completed kit then can be kept safely at home, to be made readily available to police if a child is reported missing.

John Walsh, host of “America’s Most Wanted”, endorses the DNA LifePrint program.
