CLEAR expands biometric ID services to NYC area airport

CLEAR, a leader in secure biometric identification, announced that it has been approved to launch its expedited traveller services at Westchester County Airport, a New York City-area airport, in time for the busy holiday travel season.

“We are thrilled to serve the busy travellers of Westchester, a city that is integral to CLEAR’s New York footprint,” said CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker, who praised Westchester’s introduction of CLEAR as, “evidence of an important commitment to innovation in travel technology, security, and the customer experience.”

CLEAR’s member-only lanes use biometrics to identify and speed travellers through airport security checkpoints in just five minutes on average. With CLEAR, business and leisure travellers benefit from certainty of speed, predictability and personal customer service that CLEAR offers its members. In addition, members also enjoy special discounts and benefits from CLEAR’s network of partners, including Starwood, Hertz, and a variety of at-airport concessionaires.

Certified by the Department of Homeland Security as “Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology”, CLEAR is expanding to bring its secure expedited traveller service to airports across the United States.

Westchester joins CLEAR’s growing airport network, which includes Orlando, San Francisco, Dallas-Fort Worth and Denver international airports.
