Union Community announces newest fingerprint and smart card access control terminal

Categories Biometrics News

Union Community co, Ltd. has announced the launch of its ACF-100 fingerprint and smart card sensor access control terminal.

The terminal, a part of the company’s ViRDI brand of biometric access control technology, is not pinned to a specific use, but its standalone configuration allows the device to connect with a smartphone over a Wi-Fi or data connection. The ACF-100 supports DDNS, which creates a secure link for each device to a central communications server. The app required to control the terminal with a smartphone work on both iOS and Android platforms.

The company also boasts a newly patented optical sensor and algorithm that detects fake fingerprints made of paper, film, silicone or rubber.

The ACF-100 features an integrated card reader, which depending on the model, can be either a 125KHz RFID or 13.65 Mifare.
