Categories Biometrics News

The Biometrics Institute has announced that this year’s Technology Showcase Europe will be held at Royal Bank of Scotland in London, on June 27, 2013.

Launched last year, this even is now an annual gathering for the industry. Nearly 70 delegates attended in 2012 and this number is expected to grow.

This year’s event will take a high-level approach to the discussion about future identities and the role of biometrics. There will be a mix of short presentations about how identities are changing, how consumers are responding and whether the biometrics industry is ready to keep ahead.

Registration for the Technology Showcase Europe is approximately US $600 (£400). Members pay US $285 (£190) and full-time students are free.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, In January of this year, the Biometrics Institute Board introduced a new structure, adding 7 sub-committees to the organizational chart to better reflect the engagement and activities the institute provides.

The institute has also recently announced a vulnerability assessment workshop to take place April 29, 2013 in London. Registration for this workshop is free.
