Santech joins Qualcomm Life’s 2net platform and hub ecosystem

 

Santech has announced that it has integrated its mobile messaging platform, San Text, to Qualcomm Life’s 2net platform and Hub, designed with attention to HIPAA privacy and security requirements, and also leveraging the cloud-based platform for biometric sensor data operated by Qualcomm Life.

Qualcomm Life is a subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc and its 2net platform offers a set of wireless health solutions that captures and delivers medical device data to integrated portals or databases. Santech combines mobile messaging and behavioral science to improve chronic care and wellness programs offered by health care organizations.

“Qualcomm Life is commited to empowering individuals to better manage their health and make wireless health simple for medical service providers. By wirelessly enabling health care solutions, we hope to reduce the cost of care and improve access to health services and tools,” Rick Valencia, vice president and general manager of Qualcomm Life said. “Santech’s mobile messaging platform enables patients to communicate with their providers through Qualcomm Life’s 2net Platform and Hub, improving care coordination and engagement between patients and providers while keeping the patient in control of their data.”

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Qualcomm announced that the 2net platform and hub is now available in Canada, having already been made available in the U.S. and Europe.

Nearly 180 technology parners and customers currently use the 2net system, and the company has recently announced some new adopters of the technology, including  Ingram Micro Inc.,Healthy CirclesValued Relationships Inc.Tri-City Medical CenterActiveCare and MD Revolution.

“Integration of biometric sensor data allows us to transport message alerts and update the motivational profile used to improve health behavior. The 2net Platform and Hub provides a secure connection for numerous devices, simplifying our integration efforts while improving the convenience for the patient and for health care organizations,” John Fessler, Chief Executive Officer of Santech, Inc. said.

Santech will be presenting its technology and will demonstrate its connectivity with the 2net platform and hub at the 2013 HIMSS Conference, March 3-7 in New Orleans.
