Cross Match has announced that Joseph Kuhn has joined the company as chief financial officer.

“Joe brings a solid track record of financial leadership and experience supporting technology businesses in maximizing their potential,” David Buckley, CEO of Cross Match said. “With over 25 years of financial, operational and strategic planning experience, he has worked with a range of technology businesses, from entrepreneurial startups to publicly-held multinationals. Joe is a great addition to the team and will allow us to accelerate our growth and the realization of the vision for Cross Match.”

Kuhn comes to Cross Match from IntelliDyne, where he was executive VP and CFO, responsible for the management of business operation as well as financial strategies. He’s also been CFO at several venture or private equity-backed businesses including NextPoint Networks and Mobile 365, as well as at the publicly-held OPNET Technologies. Kuhn started his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“With innovative technologies, compelling products, large addressable markets, and a solid management team, Cross Match has tremendous potential,” Kuhn said. “I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and being a business partner with the rest of the management team as we implement Cross Match’s financial and operational strategies.”

The company has also recently named Eric Vermillion as the new Senior VP, worldwide sales.

Reported previously, Cross Match announced the creation of “Cross Match Ventures,” a business unit dedicated to the development and commercialization of emerging technological innovations in the biometric and identity management markets.

Last month, the company launched its new SEEK Avenger mobile handheld unit, aimed at immigration, border control, law enforcement and security communities.
