ClinicalRSVP to showcase biometric authentication module at DIA Meeting in San Diego

ClinicalRSVP has announced that it will showcase its one-step biometric subject authentication module at the 2014 Annual DIA Meeting in San Diego, set to take place June 15-19, 2014 in San Diego.

According to the company, which has a focus on subject authentication for the clinical trials industry, this particular module is designed to enhance subject searches and to boost site enrollment accuracy. This will also feature a fingerprint scanning device, which accompanies the subject authentication module.

“Accurate subject identification from site to site is the most essential step for preventing dual enrollment, and it starts with biometric technology,” clinicalRSVP CEO Alin Lungescu said. “A simple fingerprint scan gives sites, sponsors and CROs the confidence that their subjects are in fact not in any other clinical trial.”

“When we launched our first group of sites in 2009, there were still a lot of questions about fingerprint and biometric technology in general. However, what we see today is that this technology is becoming more and more mainstream. We even see the latest smartphones using fingerprint biometrics as the foundation for personal phone security.”
