Biometric software firm SpeechPro recognized by Speech Technology Magazine

Biometric software developer SpeechPro announced it has been named a “Star Performer” by Speech Technology magazine at its eighth annual Speech Industry Awards.

SpeechPro will accept the award in person at the SpeechTek 2014 conference August 18-20 in New York, which will also recognize major companies like Google, Amazon and Microsoft.

The awards will also showcase many industry developments, including various speech-enabled mobile applications such as voice biometrics.

“SpeechPro is thrilled to be recognized by this prestigious award,” said SpeechPro president Alexey Khitrov. “We believe that this Star Performer Award reflects our continuous efforts to improve core algorithms and further expand capabilities of voice biometrics.”

SpeechPro recently expanded its line of products, particularly in bimodal (voice and face) authentication and on mobile platforms.

As a result of this progress, the company has acquired many new customers including ImageWare Systems and Optimal Risk, as well as expanded its partnership programs.

The company also recently participated in the NIST i-Vector Machine Learning Challenge, which helped validate its capabilities in voice biometric research, development and technological innovation.

“Within a few years we will live in a world where traditional passwords will be a thing of the past, together with pagers and floppy disks,” said Khitrov . “Biometrics will provide ease and security in high-value transactions and everyday life. We hope to be an important part of this global transition.”

Along with the other recognized Star Performers, SpeechPro is featured in the latest issue of Speech Technology magazine.
